July 10th Journey to Self: Finding Your Power when you feel Powerless

This week on Journey to Self Paula Klee Parish educator and author of “Journey to Be Your Own Best Friend” joined me as we discussed how to find your power when you feel powerless.
When you feel powerless here are some ways to reclaim your power:
- STOP and BREATHE. Paula recommends Yoga breathing, visualize each breathe filling your body with health.
- Focus on the situation and reminder yourself of the Serenity Prayer: “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” Focus on what you can change.
- Concentrate on what you are able to fix, brainstorm solutions, remember you have the power to change what is within your control.
- Choose to adopted a positive attitude about what you can not change.
- Gain perspective by remembering your blessing!
