July 24th (7pm cst) Journey to Self: Empowering the Use of Technology
I am a self professed “gadget girl” and I had a blast talking to Charly Leethan as we talked about how we can be empowered to take advantage of technology. During the hour we talked about how we can get over the intimidation factor that often is attached to technology, how to protect our computer while taking advantage of everything that the internet has to offer, and some of our favorite programs and services.
Here are some tips to help you integrate some technology into your business and life:
- Find a technical support person that is able to talk in plain “non-techie” language.
- When getting frustrated get up walk away and talk a break.
- Learn how to search the web, there is a ton of free resources on the internet if take some time you can find them. Google our favorite Search Engine. Don’t forget to refine your searches to get to narrow down to more specifically what you are looking for.
- Forums can be a wealth of information on more than one occasion the answers to my questions where found on developer and techie forums.
- Remember technology is suppose to help you make your life easier, don’t give up!!
I was privileged that Charly launched her brand new membership site at the end of our show. How to Video Central, where Charly offers help you use technology with plain English accompanied with easy to follow videos.
